One day - From Riomaggiore to Corniglia

Take the ferry from Monterosso to Riomaggiore to enjoy the holistic view of the 5 towns and the coast. Walk from Riomaggiore to Manarola along the ‘’Via dell’ Amore’’ and have a swim and lunch at ‘’Marina Piccola’’. Continue walking to Corniglia. Train back to Levanto or Monterosso.

 

Another day - Monterosso to Vernazza

Drive to Monterosso and enjoy the old town, the walk to Vernazza, where you can swim off the rocks and have lunch near the harbor, at ‘’Gambero Rosso’’.

Also - La Sosta to Monterosso

Take a nice long walk from La Sosta to Monterosso, enjoying the beautiful view point of "Punta Mesco", from which you can admire the whole Cinque Terre coastline. Have a light lunch in Monterosso at "Cantina di Miky".

Furthermore - From La Sosta to Vernazza

If the weather tends to be slightly cloudy, walk the path '8b', which will take you to Vernazza, first by granting you the most beautiful view of the sea and the five towns and then bring you down the old 'Via Crucis' with its little sanctuaries.

Or you can...- Walk from Corniglia to Vernazza and return to La Sosta for a cooking lesson

In the morning, take a train to Corniglia and then walk to Vernazza .

And in the afternoon, try a Ligurian cooking lesson and learn how to make pesto.

Moreover... - Ferry ride from Levanto to Portovenere or Portofino

If the weather is beautiful but you just don't feel like going to the Cinque Terre, take the ferry to either Portovenere, which is after Riomaggiore, or to the very famous Portofino.

Another idea - Levanto to Framura

From Levanto, walk or rent a bike to see the old railway, which connects Levanto to Bonassola and Framura. Enjoy the occasional swim in the crystalline waters by stopping wherever you wish.

Or you can.. – Trip to Pisa                                                                                

Take a train or drive to Pisa to admire the renowned architectural beauties of this typical Italian city, which is only around an hour and a half from La Sosta.

Also – Trip to Lucca

After a relaxing breakfast at La Sosta take the 11 o’clock train from Levanto to Lucca, so that for an afternoon you can admire this wonderfully kept medieval city. The train ride is around an hour and a half long.

Furthermore -  A day in Genova

If the weather tends to be slightly cloudy, or you’re just tired of the bustling 5 Terre, just hop on a train and in an hour you’ll find yourself in Genova, a stunning and very interesting Ligurian city. Enjoy the aquarium, have a look at all the museums on the Strada Nuova or just take a troll down the little alleys which lead to the port; you’re bound to see some contrasting parts of the town.

Hey! What else?…  -  A trip to Carrara and the marble quarries                    

You  can easily also go and see the famous marble quarries in Carrara, which are only a hour and a half drive from us. After having done a comprehensive tour, offered in various languages by the information centre, you can go back to town and have a late lunch in the beautiful central piazza, or take a stroll around and see the houses where Michelangelo and Petrarch lived.
